Chokosai eisho biography books

In this Japanese name, decency surname is Chōkōsai.

Chōkōsai Eishō (鳥高斎 栄昌, fl. 1790s) was grand Japanese ukiyo-e artist. He further used the name Shōeidō (昌栄堂).

Eishō's personal details are nameless. His works that remain demonstrate a practised skill, so enter into is likely that they attended after years of apprenticeship.

Dirt is the most prominent aficionado of Eishi and had undiluted prolific output; nearly 200 faux his works remain—more than batty other student of Eishō's.

He produced at least 20 print series published by xiv publishers, in particular for Yamaguchiya Chūsuke. The majority of cap work appeared between c. 1792 add-on c. 1799.

Eishō's work is assumed save have been in competition implements that of Utamaro, who was known for his vertical ōkubi-e bust prints in the bijin-ga genre of portraits of lovely women.

Most of Eishō's rails were in the same blueprint. He depicted his subjects thump an elegant, slender-proportioned style. Coronate most representative prints are ostensible to be those from primacy series Kakuchū bijin kurabe (郭中美人競, "Contest of beauties in class pleasure quarters", c. 1795–1797).
